we must skype soon. ill be away from internet saturday and sunday (my time), so sometime (my monday and your sunday) we need to skype.

i dont think i can reply to my own posts lol so ill just make another one.

yeah jonathan coming back tomorrow but i decided to stay a little bit later.

these two girls that i stayed with in the beginning left on a trip on monday and they’re coming back on saturday and they said that they wanted to show me around more and stuff so i decided to stay (plus you’re gonna be in norcal) :)

but yeah i thought this part of china would be like super farmland-y and stuff but its not like that at all, its not too crowded but its also not too small. 

THE FOOD: is soooo cheap!! ohh my goodness. my aunt took us to this reallllyy fancy restaurant and we ate really well and out of four people it only costs $10 for all of us! like we became so used to things being so cheap, that when a dish costs more than $5, it seems ridiculously expensive. no joke, the food is pretty bomb and dirt cheap. we tried some pretty good street food and for one thing it only costs like 15 cents.

this specific city that im staying with with my aunt is called yanji, and it only has like 500,00 people and there are a lot of chinese-korean people so its the law for signs to have both korean and chinese on it, so a lot of people understand korean so the language thing isn’t terrible.

after about two days in yanji me and jonathan went to hunchun where we stayed with one of our aunt’s friends janet who is a teacher at the special school where we volunteered. even though we didnt speak their same language the kids gave us so much love and they really have made my trip so far. there are kids with downs syndrome, kids who just have a harder time learning, kids who are deaf, kids with cerebral palsy, kids with muscle dystrophy, and other things like that. jonathan taught a dance class for about five of the older kids and they loved it so much! i helped out with janet’s art class and just 

our aunt took us to this city called shenyang for three days which is where i bought your shoes. its a bunch of cheap clothes that you can buy wholesale. we went there because one of my aunt’s co-workers/friends had to buy glasses for her store in NK! they go in and out of NK for work about two times a month, its pretty crazy! that city is so huge and busy, but its considered one of the smaller cities in china.
